Meet the Panel

Lovina McMurchy, Chief Operating Officer, kry10.com

Lovina has spent the last 20 years investing in and launching emerging technology. She started her career in large global companies such as Amazon, Starbucks and Microsoft where she worked on services including Alexa, Skype, Microsoft Advertising and Starbucks in-store wifi and mobile ordering. Across the last few years she moved into investing as a General Partner in a venture capital fund in New Zealand. She has served on the boards of several private and public companies, including being on the board for Pushpay and Ara Ake, New Zealand’s New Energy Center. Currently, she is COO for one of her portfolio companies, kry10, which offers a modern platform to secure and manage mission critical connected devices in the industrial, healthcare and automotive sectors. She holds an MBA from Harvard University and a Masters in Mathematics from University of Auckland. Lovina lives with her family in Seattle, WA.

Lorraine has significant governance experience and is currently Independent Director and Chair of listed-companies, Rakon and MOVE Logistics Group and Independent Director of Mercury. She is also a Director of private company VWork and Chair of Simply Security, a company she founded in 2007. Lorraine has extensive executive and commercial experience in technology, Software as a Service and ICT sectors, with expertise in financial management, entrepreneurship, strategy and high-change environments. Lorraine is a Chartered Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. She has more than 25 years’ experience in senior management and finance roles, including as past General Manager of Telecom (now Spark) Mobile. She holds a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons) from Waikato University. Lorraine lives with her family in Auckland.

Sumita Pandit, ex-COO at dLocal

Sumita brings nearly two decades of experience in investment banking, advising companies across verticals in fintech including payments, financial software, neo-banks and insurtech. Most recently, she was the Chief Operating Officer of dLocal, a technology-first payments platform enabling global enterprise merchants to connect with billions of consumers in emerging markets. Sumita was also named as a Top 25 Women Leaders in Financial Technology of 2021 by The Financial Technology Report.
