Frequently asked questions

How do I stream online alongside multisite?
Web streaming — to your website, YouTube, Facebook, apps, and more — runs through a Resi Live Plan, which uses the same RSP technology as Multisite. For best results, we recommend a separate encoder for each destination, since this gives you full control over bitrate and quality for each output. That said, it’s possible to run both multisite and web streaming from a single encoder if simplicity or cost are the priority.
Do I need a decoder at my broadcast site?
Not required. The only hardware needed to get started is an encoder at your broadcast site and a decoder at each receiving site. Many organizations also add a decoder at the broadcast site for quality monitoring, setting frame-accurate cue points, and as an on-site backup — but it’s optional.
What makes Resi different from other multisite providers?
Resi delivers multi-campus streaming reliability equal to a dedicated fiber connection — over standard public internet, without the cost of leasing or maintaining dedicated lines. RSP achieves this by verifying every packet of data and resending anything that doesn’t arrive perfectly, before the decoder ever displays it. Your connection can drop entirely, for as long as your buffer window allows, and your receiving site sees nothing. If you do have a dedicated connection, Resi operates in LAN mode for the lowest latency and highest redundancy possible — and automatically switches to cloud delivery if that connection fails, with no interruption on-site.
What is Resi's stance on censorship?
At Resi, you control your content. We don’t remove or restrict content unless it directly violates our Master Service Agreement. We back this up at the infrastructure level — by running across multiple cloud providers, we’re not dependent on any single platform. That means continuous service regardless of disruptions, and no single point of control over your content.
